Proof cork lathe
"If users need a manual, then the design has failed"
~Steve Jobs
Turning cork grips is not hard, but often the traditional equipment used to make grips (a wood lathe) takes up a lot of space, is expensive, and, without proper instruction, can be dangerous. The Proof cork lathe is different. You can carry it with one hand, it comes in under $100, and is as safe as installing a screw with a handheld driver. I have been refining the design of this cork lathe over the last few years. The end product is very simple in design and use. It is small enough and safe enough for anyone to use and is capable of turning out world class grips.
Features:
Solid reinforced oak construction
Stainless steel bearing
pre-drill mounting holdes
High friction rubber on base (you do not need to permanently mount it)
